We're looking for a Day Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at Danygraig Care Home. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, this is a meaningful role in a supportive setting where you'll truly make a difference.

About Danygraig

Set in a stunning Grade II listed building with views over the Bristol Channel, Danygraig Care Home provides residential care for adults with dementia and mental health needs. With 48 bedrooms and beautifully maintained grounds, we're proud to deliver person-centred support in a safe and respectful environment.

Your Responsibilities

Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming Support with mobility, transfers, and daily routines Provide companionship and meaningful interaction Help with meals, drinks, and nutrition Monitor wellbeing and report concerns accurately Maintain cleanliness and follow infection control and safety procedures

Shift Pattern

You will work across a variety of daytime shifts on a rota basis. You can chose if you want to work 5x half days or 2x half days and 1x long day.

7:00 AM - 2:00 PM 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM Long day: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM Some weekend and public holiday working is required.

What We're Looking For

A compassionate, respectful, and adaptable individual Strong team player with clear communication skills

UK driving licence preferred

due to rota flexibility Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays Reliable, organised, and calm under pressure

Skills & Qualifications

NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred, or willingness to work towards it Previous care experience desirable but not essential - full training provided Understanding of safeguarding, infection control, and safe working practices
