Permanent, Full-Time

Hours:

35 hours per week | Mixture of shifts on a rolling rota (includes weekends & bank holidays)

We're looking for a compassionate and dependable Day Care Assistant to join our team at Danygraig Care Home. Whether you're experienced or new to care, this is a rewarding role where you'll make a meaningful impact on residents' lives every single day.

About Danygraig

Danygraig is a 48-bed residential care home set in a Grade II listed building overlooking the Bristol Channel. We provide high-quality care for adults living with dementia and mental health conditions in a warm, respectful, and welcoming environment.

Your Role

As a Day Care Assistant, you'll support residents to live with dignity, independence, and comfort by:

Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, grooming) Supporting mobility, transfers, and daily routines Offering companionship and meaningful interaction Helping with meals, drinks, and nutrition Monitoring wellbeing and reporting concerns promptly Maintaining cleanliness and infection control standards

Shift Pattern

Day shifts include:

07:00 - 14:00 14:00 - 21:00 Long day: 07:00 - 21:00
(Weekend and bank holiday working included on a rota).

What We're Looking For

? Kind, caring, and adaptable
? Team player with good communication skills
? Reliable, organised, and calm under pressure
? Full UK driving licence preferred (due to rota flexibility)
? NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care desirable - or willingness to work towards it
? Experience in care is helpful but not essential - full training provided
