Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in a care home or home care setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for this position to facilitate travel between locations.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support individuals in following their personalised care plans to ensure their needs are met effectively. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff. Foster a positive and engaging environment for residents through effective communication and companionship. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to provide comprehensive care. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential. Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation purposes. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
