Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a care home or home care setting, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the well-being of our clients. This role requires excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to follow care plans accurately.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans as necessary. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being. Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care in both home care and care home environments.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating a caring and respectful approach towards clients. A commitment to following care plans and maintaining the dignity of those receiving care.
