Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care while adhering to care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Implement and follow care plans to ensure personalised care for each individual. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, promoting their health and safety. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on care and any changes in condition. Document daily activities and any significant observations in accordance with company policies. Support residents in social activities and encourage participation to enhance their quality of life. Drive to various locations if required for home care visits or transporting residents.

Skills

Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in a care home setting or providing home care is highly desirable. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs. Strong IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
