We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to provide high-quality support and assistance to residents in various care settings. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and comfort of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities, medical needs, and personal care. Duties
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition, behavior, or health status
Administer medications and document medication administration accurately following HIPAA guidelines
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and preparation according to care plans
Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices
Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
Follow individualized care plans to ensure personalized care delivery
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a respectful and caring environment
Record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as required
Assist with transportation to appointments or activities within the community or facility
Comply with all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures
Experience
Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, or group homes is preferred
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory care needs is highly desirable
Knowledge of patient observation techniques and patient monitoring methods
Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, HIPAA regulations, and documentation standards
Hands-on experience with resident transfer techniques such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids is a plus
Previous caregiving experience involving heavy lifting or assisting with ADLs is advantageous
Background in social work or home & community care enhances the ability to provide holistic support
