Job Overview


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to provide exceptional support and care to residents in a variety of healthcare settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home health environments. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including those with dementia, developmental disabilities, or requiring hospice care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized care and support.

Duties



Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition Administer medications and follow prescribed care plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare protocols Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and infection control practices Document patient observations accurately and report any changes to healthcare professionals Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a caring environment Assist with specialized care needs including Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, or memory care patients Follow safety procedures during patient handling and emergency situations such as CPR or first aid when necessary Support staff in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs

Qualifications



Prior experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care is preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs Certification or training in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for resident transfers or mobility assistance Strong communication skills and compassionate nature for working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring hospice or memory care services Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: 12.21-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 60 per week
