Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in our care home. This role is crucial in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients, promoting their independence while delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities



Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide personal care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life and promote mental well-being. Document patient care activities accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Utilize assistive devices such as mobile hoists and wheelchairs when necessary for patient mobility.

Skills



First aid preferred but not essential as full training given Experience in home health, or long-term care settings is highly desirable. Strong skills in patient observation and monitoring for changes in health status. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for patient transfers and mobility assistance. Knowledge of care plans and experience working with individuals with dementia is desirable. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Compassionate approach to caregiving with a focus on enhancing client dignity and independence. Pay: 12.21-12.71 per hour
