Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a supportive environment for our residents.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance. Implement and follow care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of care. Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Experience in home care or working within a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary. Empathy and patience when dealing with individuals requiring assistance, along with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
