Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Davenport Manor Residential Home, located in the heart of our community. This role is vital in delivering high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being while aligning with our mission of compassionate elder care.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility Support the implementation of individualized care plans Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents Document care provided accurately and timely Participate in training and development programs as required Foster positive relationships with residents to enhance their quality of life Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or similar setting is essential Knowledge of care plans and home care practices is required Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with residents and staff Act as a Key Worker for a named group of residents Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Proficiency in English is important for documentation and communication. IT skills are beneficial but not essential. To understand and comply with all the statutory and legal requirements which are relevant, such as Health and Safety, COSH and all aspects of the Care Standards Act, to maintain a safe environment throughout the Home
