Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes or care homes, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role is essential in helping clients maintain their independence while receiving the assistance they need.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's individual needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition. Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care in both home care settings and care homes. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to drive is essential for transporting clients when necessary. Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual client needs. Experience in home care or working within a care home environment is advantageous. Proficiency in IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with colleagues efficiently. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are crucial traits for success in this role.
