Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in a care home or home care setting. You will be responsible for assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting their independence while adhering to individual care plans.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in health status. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Experience or knowledge of IT systems for maintaining client records is advantageous. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them accurately is essential. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not mandatory. A valid driving licence is beneficial for transporting clients when necessary.
