We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring nature, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help feeding, adhering to any dietary requirements outlined in care plans. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff. Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being. Follow care plans to ensure tailored support for each individual. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.

Requirements

Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and colleagues. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided. A compassionate attitude towards caring for others is crucial, along with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
