Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively in English and your understanding of care plans will be vital in delivering high-quality assistance. A valid driving licence is preferred, as you may be required to transport clients as part of your duties.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in following their care plans and maintaining their independence. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Document and report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviours to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times. Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary. Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes as required.

Requirements

Proven experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to follow care plans accurately and provide personalised support to clients. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication tasks. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
