Job Description

Job Purpose:

To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals, helping them maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life in accordance with their care plans and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist service users with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming. Support with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment safely. Prepare and serve meals, and assist with eating and drinking where required. Administer medication (if trained and authorised). Provide emotional support and companionship to clients. Help with light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping. Keep accurate and up-to-date care records and report any concerns or changes in condition. Promote independence, dignity, and respect at all times. Work in line with health and safety, safeguarding, and infection control procedures. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.

Compassionate, patient, and empathetic. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable, trustworthy, and professional. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good understanding of confidentiality and respect for clients' privacy.

Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience in a care role (preferred but not essential). NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards this). DBS check. Training in First Aid, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration (desirable). Full training programme will be given.

Working Hours:

[Full-time/Part-time] - may include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Pay: 12.25-13.00 per hour
