Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively. A driving licence is preferred, as some duties may involve transporting residents.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care home environment. Engage in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation for residents. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when required. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication tasks. A valid driving licence is preferred for potential transport duties. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.
