Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities while promoting independence and dignity for our clients.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in meal preparation and feeding as required. Help with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort. Implement care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring adherence to their individual requirements. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. Utilise IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes. Drive clients to appointments or social outings when necessary.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are vital for effective interaction with clients and team members. Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and using care management software. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients as needed. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
