Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in both care home and home care settings. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively with clients to enhance their quality of life.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in following their individual care plans, ensuring their specific needs are met. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care is provided. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients when necessary. Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
