Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a domicillary setting. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure that individual care plans are followed effectively. A background in home care or experience within a care home environment is advantageous.

Duties

- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other team members to provide updates on care plans and any changes in condition.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or observations to the supervising manager.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients fostering a positive atmosphere within their home

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to drive is an advantage
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as necessary.

Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour
