Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in a home care or care home setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, a commitment to supporting the wellbeing of our clients, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive clients to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring they arrive safely and on time. Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in updating care plans as necessary. Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life. Follow all health and safety regulations while delivering care services.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is desirable but not essential. Strong IT skills for maintaining digital records and communicating with team members. Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when required. Understanding of how to implement care plans effectively and adapt them based on client needs. A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
