As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. You will work closely with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to deliver personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Support clients in maintaining their independence while providing companionship and emotional support.
Follow care plans meticulously to ensure the specific needs of each client are met.
Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately in accordance with care home policies.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Skills
Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them diligently.
