We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional support to individuals in a care home or home care setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to delivering high-quality care, and the ability to follow care plans effectively. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents, promoting their independence and dignity.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support individuals in following their personalised care plans, ensuring their specific needs are met. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on individual progress. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety standards. Document observations and changes in residents' conditions accurately in IT systems as required. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with residents and team members. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with following care plans is beneficial. IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. A compassionate nature with the ability to empathise with the needs of others. Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and their families.
