Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a supportive environment for individuals in need of assistance.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting their mental well-being. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff. Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care. Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to care practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents as required. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when needed. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the care home. Pay: 12.85-13.15 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 37.5 per week
