Rockdale House in Sevenoaks provides excellent care for the residents in our 50 bed care home, set in beautiful surroundings and located in the centre of Sevenoaks it is highly regarded by the community. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and hard-working Care Assistant (twilight shift - 6pm to 10pm) to join our team.

We are looking for dedicated care staff who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to caring for older people, your day to day tasks will include helping residents with social activities, answering call bells, completing care plans and assisting with dressing and personal care. Treating people with kindness is essential, along with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good MS Skills and GCSE's in English and Maths are also desirable

For this role, successful candidates will have:

Excellent communication skills and be a great team player A good understanding of person centred care Experience of working in a similar environment The ability to make responsible decisions that are always in the resident's best interest An NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential, however you should be willing to get further training if needed

Hours of work:

14 hours per week (4 shifts on week one, and 3 shifts on week 2) and are variable in accordance with a 4 weekly rota, Monday to Sunday.

Start time of 6pm and finish time of 10pm.

Pay: 13.02 (basic) 16.28 (enhanced)
