Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work collaboratively with both clients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support the implementation of care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care. Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. A background in assisting individuals with personal care tasks is advantageous. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when needed. Familiarity with care plans and IT systems will be beneficial in fulfilling the role effectively. Pay: 12.21-13.21 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
