We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively and follow care plans will be vital in delivering high-quality care to our clients.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Follow individual care plans to ensure that each client's specific needs are met.
Communicate regularly with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and any concerns.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Document all care activities accurately in compliance with organisational policies.
Utilise IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
Requirements
Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to follow care plans meticulously and adapt as needed based on client feedback.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients when necessary.
Basic IT skills for documentation and communication tasks.
