Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. The posts are for day and night workers, please highlight on your application whether it is night work or day work you are applying for. Our shift patters are 8am-3pm, 3pm-10pm and 10pm-8am. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff. Assist with meals and ensure dietary requirements are met. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Follow care plans meticulously to ensure each resident receives personalised support. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the care home environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. NVQ Level 2 and 3
