Your Role as Care Assistant at Avocet House
In this influential and rewarding role, you will help shape the highest standard of care by:
Helping support residents with getting ready for the day, outings and activities and promoting their independence and supporting them to continue addressing their needs.
Collaborating with external professionals - including GPs, district nurses, pharmacists and social care teams, ensuring seamless care for residents.
Delivering exceptional personal care - always with dignity, respect and a personalised approach.
Accompanying residents with indoor and outdoor activities and ensuring activities are what each resident will enjoy. They enjoy a variety of activities including drawing, quizzes, gardening, walks and even outings to shops.
Working with families to understand each residents needs, desires and purpose in their daily lives,

Positions Available:
Part time Care Assistant 7am-2:30pm
Part time care assistant 2:30pm-10pm
Avocet House work a 3 on 3 off rota, so some weekend working will be required.
You will bring:
NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care - essential
Experience in a senior or lead care role within a residential or nursing home
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting older adults
A professional, positive and proactive approach to care
