Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals within care homes and providing home care services. Responsibilities

Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Support the development and implementation of individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a friendly and respectful environment Administer medication as prescribed, following all health and safety guidelines Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition using IT systems Support clients with light domestic tasks such as meal preparation and light cleaning Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure high standards of care are maintained

Qualifications

Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation duties Good command of English, both written and verbal, to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach towards clients' needs Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a caring environment
