Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals in a care home or home care setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting daily living activities and ensuring that each individual receives personalised attention.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Follow individual care plans and report any changes in clients' conditions to the supervising nurse or manager. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote their mental and emotional well-being. Document care provided and any relevant observations accurately in accordance with company policies.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members. Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and documentation. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals is essential.
