Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and fostering a supportive environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities. Follow care plans meticulously to ensure that each client's specific needs are met. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and needs. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Previous experience in a care assistant role or similar position is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with IT systems for record-keeping and communication is advantageous. A strong command of English is required for effective communication with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is desirable for those required to transport clients. Experience working within a care home setting or providing home care services will be beneficial.
