Job Description

Umbrella Health Care are looking for self-employed Care Assistants to support and promote our client's independence at home in Rayleigh.

UHC support a variety of clients in the community living with various conditions such as Dementia/Alzheimer's, MND and MS. UHC also care for clients who just need that little bit of extra support to enable them to remain living independently at home.

Please note:

Rayleigh is a new area UHC are currently developing and therefore hours available will be part time initially.

Full training is provided (Practical & Theory based)

Driving licence with access to our vehicle is essential

Responsibilities:

Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care (showering, incontinence support), preparing meals, food shopping etc. Attending and supporting clients at social outings such as theatre, cinema etc. Support clients in following their individual care plan, promoting independence at home Accurately report and record client progress and any changes to their condition Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and family members

Requirements:

Previous experience in a care setting is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided (practical & theory based) An enhanced adult DBS is essential for this position Availability to work every other weekend (support with good continuity of care) Proficiency in English for effective communication with clients and team members Caring and empathetic nature with the ability to work within a small team and independently Driving licence with access to own vehicle is advantageous but not essential Passionate about making a difference to the lives of others within your community
