We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, particularly seniors and those with specific health conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised care, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. This role requires a proactive approach to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Assist clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs in accordance with client preferences and health requirements. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.

Skills

Experience in dementia care is highly desirable. Strong skills in home care practices and patient care techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Knowledge of medication administration protocols. Proficiency in first aid procedures and emergency response. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Empathy and patience when dealing with clients' needs. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
