Introduction



This is an exciting new opportunity for a Care Coordinator to establish and lead a brand-new domiciliary care service in Chelmsford under the City Care brand. Our existing Cambridge service is rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and we are committed to replicating the same high standards in Chelmsford.

The Care Coordinator will play a pivotal role in launching, shaping, and managing the service, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and delivering a safe, effective, caring, and responsive experience for clients. The post holder will lead and support the Training Manager, Deputy Manager, and Office Manager, ensuring strong teamwork, operational excellence, and a values-driven culture from the very beginning.

What You'll Do



As a Care Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring seamless, high-quality care delivery. Your key responsibilities will include:

Coordinating staff rotas and managing visit schedules to ensure continuity of care. Liaising effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated support. Monitoring care quality, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring CQC compliance across all services. Providing essential support and guidance to our dedicated care team, fostering their development and problem-solving Participating in the on-call rota (shared between 4 people) and responding to urgent situations to maintain service integrity.

What You'll Bring



To excel in this role, you will need:

A minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a care setting, ideally within a community-based domiciliary care environment. A minimum of 1 year care coordinator experience A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or a demonstrable commitment to achieving this qualification Exceptional organisational, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using digital systems for record management and scheduling. A full UK driving licence and access to your own reliable vehicle for community travel. A proactive, empathetic, and professional approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Location & Logistics



This is a full-time, permanent position based in Chelmsford. The role involves a blend of office-based coordination and community-based work, requiring travel between client homes. Participation in an on-call rota is an integral part of this role.
