About Us

Following our recent tender success in Sunderland, The Care & Support Group is opening a brand-new branch covering Houghton-le-Spring, creating fantastic opportunities for talented individuals to help us shape and build our newest service.

With more than 20 years' experience delivering high-quality homecare, supported living, and complex support across the North East and Yorkshire, we are committed to providing safe, person-centred, and compassionate care to our communities. As we continue to grow, we're looking for the very best people to join us.

The Role

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and people-focused Care Coordinator to be at the heart of our new branch. This pivotal role ensures the smooth running of our service by managing staff rotas, responding to changes at short notice, supporting our care teams, and ensuring service users receive the high-quality support they deserve.

You'll work closely with the Branch Manager and wider team to maintain excellent operational standards, strong communication, and robust compliance. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities

Create, amend, and manage staff rotas to ensure all support is delivered safely, effectively, and in line with service-user needs. Communicate professionally with service users, families, staff, and professionals. Respond quickly to staffing changes, sickness, or emergencies, ensuring continuity of care. Support new referrals by gathering accurate information and liaising with the Branch Manager. Monitor and record key information from on-call reports, and participate in the on-call rota as required. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance in line with CQC, GDPR, and company policies. Ensure fair allocation of work and contribute to staff retention by monitoring available hours and communicating proactively. Support the coordination of training, paperwork, and branch administration. Contribute to branch meetings and maintain strong relationships with care staff.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in care coordination or a similar scheduling/organisational role (preferably within domiciliary care). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent communication and organisation skills. Good working knowledge of rota management systems (training provided). Understanding of CQC requirements and safe record keeping. A team player with a flexible, proactive approach.

Apply today and be part of something exciting as we launch our new Sunderland service.
