is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and compassionate
Activities Coordinator
to join our team and play a key role in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents.
As the Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing a variety of engaging and meaningful activities appropriate to residents' needs, preferences, and abilities. You will also assist the Home Manager in organising fundraising events and community-based initiatives.
Your role will involve organising and documenting social activities for people who require care and support and assisting residents to participate fully in these activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organise, and deliver a range of engaging activities that meet residents' physical, emotional, and social needs.
Encourage residents to participate in group and one-to-one activities, promoting inclusion and independence.
Liaise with residents, families, and staff to ensure activities reflect residents' interests, preferences, and abilities.
Coordinate events, entertainment, and outings both within the home and in the local community.
Keep accurate records of participation, outcomes, and feedback to inform future planning.
Work closely with the care team to identify residents who may benefit from additional support or engagement.
Decorate communal areas for seasonal events, celebrations, and themed activities.
Maintain and manage activity equipment, materials, and budgets responsibly.
Promote the care home's ethos of wellbeing, dignity, and respect in all aspects of work.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven ability to develop and organise a range of activities and events for residents.
Previous experience in a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
Friendly, creative, and confident personality with a genuine interest in elderly care.
Qualification in remedial or occupational therapies (desirable).
Previous experience of working with the relevant client group (desirable).
Flexible approach towards working routines (desirable).
Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
