Permanent, Full-Time

Hours:

40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8-hour days)
(Additional hours as required in line with management responsibilities)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Care Home Manager to lead The Mountains Nursing Home. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for the operational, clinical, and regulatory performance of the home.

The Role

You will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing care, ensuring full compliance with CIW regulations and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Care Leadership

Maintain outstanding standards of nursing and residential care Ensure residents receive personalised, compassionate support

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure full compliance with CIW regulations and inspection standards Maintain strong governance, audits, and quality assurance systems

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled care team Foster a positive, professional, and accountable culture

Operational & Financial Management

Oversee staffing, rotas, budgets, and resources Ensure effective day-to-day operation, including health & safety

Resident & Family Engagement

Build strong, trusting relationships with residents and families Promote open communication and involvement

External Collaboration

Work closely with healthcare professionals and commissioners Promote the home positively within the local community

About You

? QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards)

and/or

? Qualified Nurse (RGN/RMN) with active NMC registration

? Previous Care Home Manager experience (residential or nursing)
? Strong leadership and people management skills
? Excellent knowledge of CIW regulations and care governance
? Compassionate, resident-focused approach
? Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
