We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a 31 bed care home specialising in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. The successful candidate will lead a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care tailored to residents' individual needs. The Home Manager will be responsible for managing staff, implementing care plans, and fostering a compassionate environment that promotes dignity and independence for all residents.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the care home team, including nursing staff and carers, ensuring effective team management and staff development
Oversee the implementation and review of personalised care plans for residents, including those requiring specialised dementia or Alzheimer's care
Ensure medication administration is carried out accurately and in accordance with legal and organisational guidelines
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and industry standards
Coordinate with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to deliver holistic resident care
Monitor operational budgets, manage resources efficiently, and optimise service delivery
Foster a warm, welcoming environment that promotes residents' wellbeing, independence, and dignity
Organise staff training programmes to ensure continuous professional development in areas such as assisted living, nursing home procedures, and home care practices
Keep detailed records of resident progress, incidents, and care activities in line with regulatory requirements
Skills
Proven management experience within a care home or nursing environment specialising in senior or dementia care
Strong leadership qualities with excellent supervisory skills to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams
In-depth understanding of assisted living principles, medication administration, and person-centred care approaches
Experience in developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual needs
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to nursing homes, dementia care, Alzheimer's support, and home care services
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents' families, staff members, and healthcare professionals
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy while maintaining high standards of quality assurance
