Reporting to: Registered Manager



Location: Heathfield



Hours: 40 hours per week



Contract: Full-time, Permanent



About the role:



We are looking for a compassionate, confident and experienced Care Lead to join our Care Management Team at Holy Cross Care Home. This role reports to the Registered Manager and works alongside the Clinical Lead, supporting the delivery of high quality, person-centred care and providing day to day line-management to care staff.

Key Responsibilities

Positively support the Care Home Manager in providing leadership to the administration, care, catering, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance functions of the service.

Deputise for the function of the Clinical Lead during their absence, while at all times supporting the Registered Manager's decisions.

Lead the Care Team in accordance with GCB's Mission Statement and Values, with standards agreed with the Care Home Manager, the Registered Provider, legislative requirements, relevant regulations and in line with accepted best practice, and within the financial plans agreed from time-to-time with the Registered Provider.

Provide exceptional care rooted in compassion, respect and dignity, striving to create a warm and inclusive environment where every resident feels valued and empowered to live life in their own unique way.

Support and develop the Care Team, equipping them with the skills and confidence necessary to make a meaningful difference to the every-day lives of our residents and their loved ones.

Maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that currency of practice.

In addition, to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required.

Requirements:



2 years' experience managing a team with a residential environment

2 years' experience in medication management

Level 3 Diploma (part of the QCF system) in Health and Social Care

Able to adapt quickly and lead the care team effectively

Foster collaborative working relationships

Good working knowledge of all relevant regulations and guidelines

Proven communication and written skills
