T? Hafan is a beautiful children's hospice located on the picturesque Vale of Glamorgan coastline. Covering the South, East and West Wales T? Hafan offers a beautiful, newly refurbished working environment set in idyllic grounds a short distance from the metropolitan area of Cardiff.



We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare administrator to join our established Care team as a Care Services Coordinator.



About the Role



As a Care Services Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the effective organisation of staffing and resourcing across our frontline Care team.



Working closely with the Head of Nursing and Lead Nurses, you'll lead on systems and processes that will support smooth workforce planning. This includes completing staff rotas with an adaptable and practical approach, supporting absence management, recruitment, and performance-related activities by scheduling key meetings in a timely and efficient manner.



You will also oversee the management of clinical stock, ensuring essential supplies are monitored and necessary to support the delivery of safe and effective care.



The role is part time, 30 hours per week.

About You



We're looking for a personable and approachable individual with a positive, team-focused attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.



You'll bring substantial experience in healthcare administration, with a good understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work independently while remaining solution focused. You'll have excellent communication skills and be able build relationships with colleagues across all levels of the organisation.



With good knowledge of data protection and safeguarding procedures and policies, you will be confident handling complex clinical information and experienced in using clinical systems. Additionally, you'll also have knowledge of completing and amending healthcare staff rotas and have advanced IT skills, particularly across Microsoft Office 365.

At T? Hafan our team is very supportive and inclusive, we value individual differences, and understand experience can come from many avenues, therefore it is not essential to have previous experience working in a palliative care environment. Palliative care is defined as the total care of individuals from diagnosis of a life-shortening condition, beyond transition into adult services, or in providing extensive bereavement support. It is important to remember that paediatric palliative care is so much more than just end of life care, T? Hafan holds enhancing quality of life at its very core.
