Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Care Skills Tutor to deliver the Skills for Care - Care Certificate standards to adult learners preparing for work in health and social care.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging training that equips learners with the essential knowledge, skills, and confidence to work safely and professionally in care settings.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons to adult learners Support learners to achieve the Care Certificate standards Maintain accurate learner records and progress reports Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, and assessments Promote safeguarding, equality, and professional standards at all times Provide pastoral and academic support to learners

Experience

Level 3 or above qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) Relevant teaching or training qualification (AET, PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS or equivalent) Up-to-date knowledge of the Care Certificate and Skills for Care standards Experience working in health and social care Strong communication and classroom management skills Enhanced DBS Experience teaching Mental Health and First Aid ESOL learner experience
Desirable: Makaton experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 20.00-30.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
