Job Summary

The Care Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality care within a care home setting. This position involves managing care plans, supervising staff, and ensuring that all residents receive compassionate and personalised support. The Care Manager will be responsible for fostering a positive environment that promotes the well-being and dignity of seniors while leading a dedicated team.

Duties

Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure best practices are followed. Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and well-being, adjusting care plans as necessary. Facilitate effective communication between residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain accurate records of care provided and oversee compliance with regulatory standards. Promote a safe and welcoming environment within the care home, addressing any concerns or issues promptly. Drive initiatives to enhance the quality of life for residents through engaging activities and programmes.

Skills

Proven experience in senior care settings, with a strong understanding of the unique needs of elderly individuals. Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative atmosphere. Strong leadership skills that inspire confidence and motivate staff to deliver exceptional care. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and managing documentation related to care plans and assessments. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs within the role.
