Due to expansion of our services in the Ludlow area, we have vacancies supporting adults for Care/Support Workers to work at either our registered Care Homes or in Supported Living services in and around Ludlow.
About the role
You will be available to provide physical support and emotional reassurance, both within the service and out in the local community. Some of the people Vision Homes Association supports require assistance with personal care or medication.
You will be required to undertake shifts as and when required. The support we provide is around the clock, 365 days per year. This means that you will be expected to be available to work a variety of shift patterns, including weekdays, weekends and Bank Holidays:
Care Home Shift Patterns
Early shift - 7am - 3pm
Late Shift - 2pm - 10pm
Supported Living Services Shift Patterns
Full shift 9am - 10pm / Sleep In / 7am - 9am
Part Shift 5pm - 10pm / Sleep In / 7am / 9am
Sleep in Shifts are paid separately from contracts, currently 62.50 or 80.00 per sleep-in
Duties
Assist the people we support with daily living activities in a caring and respectful manner.
Implement individualized care plans tailored to each person's specific needs.
Foster a supportive and safe environment within the care home setting.
Communicate effectively with the people we support, their families, and healthcare professionals.
Utilize IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
Assist people to appointments or outings/activities as required.
Collaborate with the care team to ensure the well-being of everyone we support

The successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure (paid for by VHA) and achieve satisfactory references from previous employers.
