Cromarty House is a small residential care home for adults with learning disabilities in Bodmin. The home is split between the Main House and a purpose built "eco pod" that supports the needs of 2 individuals with physical disabilities.

We are a small residential care home supporting 8 brilliant adults with learning disabilities to live in the community. No two days are the same! The position involves supporting 2 people who use wheelchairs and 6 people who are physically mobile.
We are looking for a Care Worker to join our team and provide compassionate and reliable care to our small group of service users. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting service users with daily activities on and off site, providing them with support, and ensuring that their needs are met. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to build strong relationships with service users and staff. Our Care Workers are expected to be reliable, flexible, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure everyone living at Cromarty House receive the best possible care.
Some experience preferred but not essential as full training and support is provided.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting service users with daily living activities, such as personal care and nutrition.
Providing support to service users to maintain a good quality of life including 1:1 activities on and off site to promote their wellbeing and good mental health.
Assisting with medication management and recording.
Maintaining accurate records of care.
Providing companionship and social interaction to service users.
Helping service users access community resources, services, social clubs and events.
This includes but is not limited to:- Supporting various therapies such as hydrotherapy (this includes supporting service users in the water. ) and oxygen therapy- Supporting visits to medical and dental appointments- Supporting leisure activities such as bowling, horse riding, cinema, walking and swimming- Supporting service users to access local shops for their personal shopping
Attending face to face training
Completing mandatory annual online training
Cleaning duties
Preparing food
Moving and Handling
