Job Description

Crossroads Caring for Carers are looking for dedicated, reliable staff to work within the Dudley area to deliver respite care for clients in their own home. This is to support people living with a chronic illness, e.g., dementia or may be palliative/end of life.

The Care Support Worker is there to provide a break for the family carer to allow them to take time out during the day for themselves to recharge and able to cope for longer. You will also provide personal care and support for clients when required.

It is essential that we provide continuity of care for our families to establish a relationship of trust and confidence. If you feel you have the skills to support people at a time that is so precious to our families please get in touch, as we require compassionate and caring individuals who will make a difference.

We offer excellent training to ensure that staff have the skills to support them in their role. This is at no cost to individuals joining our organisation, providing they remain in our employment for more than two years.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care and support to clients in their homes. Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene. Monitor and document clients' health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team. Engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life and well-being.
