We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own home. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care, ensuring their dignity and independence are maintained.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Provide medication administration as per care plans and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them using their vehicle to appointments or social activities.
Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each client's needs.
Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role within healthcare settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice care is preferred.
Certification in First Aid is advantageous.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant qualifications in nursing or patient care would be beneficial but are not mandatory.
