Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in our nursing home. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the lives of others through empathetic support and professional care giving. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the well being of our clients, with a focus on promoting independence, safety, and comfort. You will also have the opportunity to advance your career in our expanding care home. You will complete all mandatory training on line and attend face to face training, in house, for moving and handling. Due to further expansion we are looking to increase our care team.

Duties

Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, complex care, tracheostomy, other cognitive impairments and those approaching end of life. Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions and reduce agitation Support clients with mobility Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance clients' quality of life Follow all health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary

Skills

Experience in nursing home care, or home care environments is highly desirable Knowledge of patient care practices Strong caregiving skills Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Basic first aid certification is preferred Compassionate attitude with patience and empathy at the core of your approach Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
