Homely Supported Living is seeking a caring, reliable, and person-centred
Care Support Worker
to support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and other complex support requirements within a
supported living environment
.
This role focuses on enabling individuals to live as independently as possible in their own homes while receiving tailored support that promotes choice, dignity, safety, and wellbeing. You will work as part of a supportive team to help individuals achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives within the community.
Key Responsibilities
Provide
person-centred support
in line with individual support plans, promoting independence, dignity, and respect
Support individuals with
daily living activities
such as personal care, meal preparation, budgeting, cleaning, and maintaining their home environment
Encourage and assist individuals to develop
life skills
and make informed choices about their daily routines
Support individuals to access the
community
, including social activities, appointments, education, or employment opportunities
Promote
positive behaviour support
, following agreed strategies and risk assessments
Assist with and record
medication administration
in line with company policies and training
Maintain accurate
daily records and documentation
, reporting any concerns promptly
Build positive, professional relationships with individuals, families, colleagues, and external professionals
Support individuals with
emotional wellbeing
, confidence building, and social inclusion
Respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies, following safeguarding and health & safety procedures
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in
supported living, learning disabilities, mental health, or social care
is desirable (but not essential as full training will be provided)
Understanding of
person-centred care
, independence, and choice
Knowledge of safeguarding principles and willingness to follow policies and procedures
Ability to support individuals with varying needs, including behaviours that may challenge
Relevant qualifications (or willingness to work towards) such as
Care Certificate, NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
Basic IT skills for record keeping
A
full UK driving licence
is desirable, depending on service needs

Ability to work shifts including
days, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
