Job Overview


Kendall Care Limited is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support services to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Support Workers to join our team. The role involves supporting elderly patients, delivering palliative care, and assisting individuals with learning disabilities to maintain their independence and access the community. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients while meeting their diverse care needs.

Key Responsibilities



Personal Care:

Provide assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support, ensuring clients' dignity and respect at all times.

Palliative Care:

Offer compassionate end-of-life care, managing symptoms, providing emotional support, and ensuring comfort for clients and their families.

Support for Learning Disabilities:

Assist individuals with learning disabilities to live independently, participate in community activities, and achieve their personal goals.

Medication Management:

Administer prescribed medication as per care plans and document accurately, adhering to Kendall Care Limited's policies and procedures.

Meal Preparation:

Assist with planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals, respecting dietary preferences and requirements.

Household Tasks:

Provide light domestic assistance, including laundry, cleaning, and shopping, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.

Community Engagement:

Support clients to access community services, attend appointments, and participate in social or recreational activities to enhance their well-being and inclusion.

Care Planning:

Follow individualised care plans, monitor changes in clients' health and well-being, and report concerns promptly to the care management team.

Record-Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Communication and Collaboration

: Build trust and rapport with clients and their families, encouraging open communication. Keep accurate records of care provided and observations, following Kendall Care's documentation procedures. Participate in team meetings, training, and assessments to stay informed about best practices in care provision. Work collaboratively with Kendall Care's multidisciplinary team, adapting to the unique needs of each client.

Health and Safety

: Adhere to infection control and health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with Kendall Care standards. Ensure safe handling and administration of prescribed medications when assisting clients. Maintain awareness of risks and report any hazards or potential safety concerns to the appropriate team members.

Person Specification



Essential:



A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and supporting individuals to live independently. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

Desirable:



NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification). Previous experience in domiciliary care, palliative care, or supporting individuals with learning disabilities. Knowledge of safeguarding principles and the Mental Capacity Act. First Aid and Manual Handling training.
