Key Requirements & Responsibilities
Fluent in Twi:
Essential requirement to communicate effectively and provide companionship to the client in their native language.
Dementia Care Expertise:
Must have proven experience in caring for individuals with Dementia, understanding the complexities of the condition, and using a kind, patient, and person-centred approach.
Personal Qualities:
You must be inherently
caring, patient, and compassionate
, with a naturally warm and supportive demeanour.
Daily Support:
Providing full
personal care
(e.g., washing, dressing, mobility support).
Planning, preparing, and cooking healthy, appealing meals, tailored to the client's preferences and dietary needs.
Assisting with light household duties and laundry.
Managing medication and coordinating with healthcare professionals.
Providing engaging companionship and stimulating activities.

Qualifications
Good standard of education (GCSE English & Maths or equivalent).
Willingness to complete the Care Certificate.
QCF/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care.
First Aid or Medication training.
Knowledge
Understanding of safeguarding adults.
Awareness of confidentiality and GDPR.
Commitment to promoting independence.
Knowledge of CQC Key Lines of Enquiry.
Familiarity with the Care Act 2014 and MCA 2005.
Skills & Abilities
Good communication skills.
Ability to follow support plans.
Empathy, patience, and resilience.
Ability to support with budgeting and daily living skills.
IT literacy for record-keeping.
